Residential Work
Each project possesses the opportunity to create a piece of excellent architectural work regardless of its particular scope or scale.
The practice does not adhere to any particular style in architecture although we believe that the understanding of historical styles is essential in order to understand and therefore produce contemporary architecture.
We have worked with Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and Vernacular buildings and have extensive experience of renovations extensions and alterations as well as new build projects.
We are passionate about getting the details right and strive to ensure that new work harmonizes or contrasts with the existing in an intentional manner.
Window, door and joinery details as well as roof pitches, ridge and verge details all contribute to the aesthetic success of a building. The practice takes pride in its understanding of details which are always carefully considered.
Our residential work is characterised by a sensitivity to client requirements, a close control of cost and is underpinned by a close attention to details both inside and out.
Increasingly we are being asked to engage with the issues of climate change and the built environment and are fully versed in the languages of passive architecture, low energy and healthy design.
