Cladding Consultancy Work
In our first year the practice was commissioned by the retail architects Brimelow McSweenie as facade consultants for their Maidstone Chequers Centre project. After producing a facade options study we went on to deliver the envelope tender packages for this £10m mixed use Civic and Retail building.
Residential Feasibility Studies
Our Client Cleveland Development came to us in order to carry out a short feasibilty study for a £20m site in Stratford, London. They were preparing a bid for the site and required a second opinion of the sites potential. This short study comprised of a site analysis, a detailed study of the area, a consultation with the Local Authority planning department and an analysis of the respective elements of the UDP. The report consisted of a statistical presentation of the findings and potential development opportunities supported with 3d studies of block massing solutions for the development.
Internal Package Work
The practice possesses experience of internal packages including drylining, blockwork, joinery, lifts, staircases, metalwork, raised floors, suspended ceilings, roof, foundations and external works as well as experience of structural and mechanical coordination.
Joint Ventures
The practice is currently working with a residential developer under a joint venture agreement in order to deliver a residential development in Hounslow. The developer purchased the site with permission for 5 houses and were looking to maximise the profitability of the site. Through embracing a green agenda and redesigning the scheme the Local Authority Planning Department were persuaded to accept an extra unit on the site. The scheme is due on site in August 07.
3d Visualisation and technical Skills
The practice utilizes the latest in 3d software both as a design tool and in order to deliver clear coordinated information suitable for tendering purposes. Our experience tells us that clear, carefully prepared documentation clearly communicating the design intent makes for a happy client, planner, and contractor and leads to higher levels of cost and design certainty.
